Community health centers are a vital community resource to promote wellness and provide quality healthcare to all. In 2023, our FQHCs served 121,271 patients.

#ValueCHCs- The Value of Community Health Centers:
  • Community Health Centers are non-profit, community-based, patient-centered organizations that have received strong bipartisan support for over 50 years
  • Provide medical, dental and behavioral health services, pharmacy and enabling services, they are one-stop health care homes
  • Health centers ensure that all populations have access to high quality, comprehensive, affordable healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay
  • The Nebraska community health centers serve as a critical component of the safety net program, serving 27% of the uninsured population and 28% of the uninsured children.
  • The Nebraska health centers provide 2,036 total jobs in Nebraska
  • $306.3 Million total economic impact of current operations

Cost Savings
  • $207.5 Million savings to the overall health system
  • 24% lower costs for health center Medicaid patients
  • Save health care dollars systemwide by reducing emergency, hospital, and specialty-care costs

Access for Uninsured/Underserved
  • 32% of patients are uninsured
